Our work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
At European House of Beds A/S, we have made the UN Sustainable Development Goals an integral part of our business. It is a commitment!
How we do it
The UN Sustainable Development Goals consist of 17 main points, which are divided into a large number of sub-points and targets. We have selected 7 goals/sub-targets that we can influence the most in our daily lives and work. These are listed below, where SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) is the UN’s official formulation.

SDG #3
Ensure a healthy life for all and promote well-being for all age groups.
Our contribution to the goal:
SDG #5.5.2
Proportion of women in management.
Our contribution to the goal:
SDG (interim goal) #7.2
By 2030, the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix must increase significantly.
Our contribution to the goal:
We keep our energy consumption to a minimum by converting to and using energy forms with the lowest possible CO2 footprint in our production and in our use of company cars.
SDG (interim goal) #8.6
The proportion of young people who are not in employment or education must be significantly reduced.
Our contribution to the goal:
We make room for people on the edge of the labor market who deserve a chance to be helped to get started.

Workers’ rights must be protected and a safe and stable working environment for all workers must be promoted, including for migrant workers, especially women migrants, and those in precarious employment.
Our contribution to the goal:
Our employees are our most important resource. We promote a good and safe working environment through a continuous focus on occupational accidents and causes of sick days.
SDG #12
Ensure sustainable consumption and production methods.
Our contribution to the goal:
We want to set the standard for sustainable products in our industry, and we work to implement a cradle-to-cradle mindset. We produce sustainably by using environmentally friendly (certified) raw materials in our production. We recycle as much as possible from our production and minimize our waste.

The global partnership for sustainable development must be strengthened, complemented by multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilize and share knowledge, expertise, technology and financial resources, to support all countries in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, especially developing countries.
Our contribution to the goal:
We will initiate collaborations and partnerships with suppliers to jointly promote the green transition and development in our industry.
